BLANKE BAY-BOX built-in niche
The BLANKE BAY-BOX is a surface-finished, frameless built-in niche that can be quickly and easily integrated into the room design. It is used to create order in your bathroom and offers storage space for utensils and decorations. Depending on the design requirements, the BAY-BOX can be installed flush with the tile covering, or it can protrude up to 55 mm from the covering. Made of high-quality brushed stainless steel, the BAY-BOX is suitable for both wet and dry construction and, thanks to its timeless design, is ideal for tiles, natural stone and a variety of other wall coverings.
Niche made of high-quality stainless steel
The frameless built-in niche BLANKE BAY-BOX is made of high-quality, brushed stainless steel, which means it can be easily integrated into the room design. At the same time, it is particularly insensitive and easy to clean. The niche solution can be tailored individually. On the one hand, it can be installed flush with the surface and, on the other hand, it can protrude up to 55 mm from the covering.

If you like a simple and robust look, you can use the BLANKE BAY-BOY without any additional paneling. Then you would find a stainless steel look.
The niche can also be lined. For example with tiles, natural stone or even wood. Here are the advantages of the different materials:
- Stainless steel does not rust and is very insensitive. The surface is easy to clean and is particularly suitable for wet areas, such as the shower.
- Wood , on the other hand, should not be used in the shower, but is suitable everywhere in dry areas. A wood look looks elegant and is a special eye-catcher.
- Tile is perfect for lining the niche. This gives you a visually appealing surface and you can create a lot of visual appeal with different designs. In addition, similar to stainless steel, the tile is very easy to care for and easy to clean. It must be taken into account here that the tile must be precisely mitered.
Easy installation of the BAY-BOX
The frameless BLANKE BAY-BOX built-in niche can be installed quickly and easily thanks to the included installation set.
In the first step, the substructure must be glued into a previously cut hole. The substructure must then be sealed. We recommend the self-adhesive sealing system BLANKE DISK. The included installation frame can be interpreted as an adhesive layer due to its thickness and the tile thickness can be adjusted using the spacer. The included installation frame enables flush installation with the tile edge. At the same time, the installation frame serves as a protective frame so that the material is not damaged during installation. The BAY-BOX with the cardboard is then inserted into the substructure and thin-bed mortar can be applied together with the tile covering. The tile must be placed directly on the installation frame so that an even joint pattern is created. After grouting the tiles, the building protection can be removed and the BAY-BOX is completely installed.
Where can niches be installed?
Basically, niches can be useful wherever storage space is needed. They are popular in the shower to place shampoo or shower gel. What's practical is that you don't need a glued-on shower basket, which usually doesn't have a high-quality look and, in the worst case, falls off the wall every second shower. Wall niches have a much higher quality look and are easier to clean.
