BLANKE AQUA-PROFILE

GRADIENT AND SHOWER PROFILES

Walk-in showers without a shower tray with BLANKE AQUA PROFILES. Create floor level showers with the aid of gradient and glass retainer profiles. The shower profiles create the slope to the drain without having to cut the tiles, and give the shower an understated, high-quality look without any edges or tripping hazards. The shower profiles can be perfectly combined with a linear drain. Our glass retainer profiles are officially certified and particularly safe even without a stabiliser. A decisive advantage here is that the BLANKE AQUA PROFILES are installed together with the tiling, so that the sealing in the bathroom is not perforated. Take a closer look at the different gradient and shower profiles here.

BLANKE AQUA-KEIL

The BLANKE AQUA-KEIL is a gradient and shower profile made of stainless steel. The wedge creates the sloping surface for connecting to the drainage line in the wet area of the shower. This allows you to create a floor level shower without cutting the tiles. The slope profile is available as a left or right-hand version.

BLANKE AQUA-DEKO

The BLANKE AQUA-DEKO, made of stainless steel, is the elegant finish for above the drainage channel. It compensates for the slit in the wall area created by the 2% slope in the shower. Further tile cutting is therefore avoided, and the shower has an entirely pleasing and uniform look.

BLANKE AQUA-KEIL WALL

The BLANKE AQUA-KEIL WALL, made of stainless steel, is the version of the AQUA-KEIL for the wall area. To create a sloping edge here too, the BLANKE AQUA-KEIL WALL can be placed on the wall parallel to the AQUA-KEIL or AQUA-KEIL GLASS. It connects the floor level shower in the wall area with the linear drain. The slope wedge profile is available as a left or right version.

BLANKE AQUA-KEIL GLASS

The BLANKE AQUA-KEIL GLASS is a glass retainer profile for the shower area with an integrated gradient edge (2%). It is particularly suitable for floor level showers. The glass retainer allows for simple and attractive fixation of shower glass walls to walls and floors without the need for drilling holes or cutting tiles. Compared to the conventional method where the anchoring is fixed in place with a screw, this system guarantees a non-destructive and watertight anchoring.

BLANKE AQUA-GLASS

The BLANKE AQUA-GLASS is a glass retainer profile for the shower area. It is particularly suitable for floor level showers. The glass retainer allows for simple and attractive fixation of shower glass panels to walls and floors without the need for drilling holes or cutting tiles. Compared to the conventional method where the anchoring is fixed in place with a screw, this system guarantees a non-destructive and watertight anchoring.

BLANKE AQUA-GLASS KIT

The BLANKE AQUA-GLASS KIT is a complete installation set for fitting a single pane of toughened safety glass in one or more BLANKE AQUA PROFILES. It consists of BLANKE AQUA-CLEAN, a fast-drying degreasing metal and glass cleaner, 8 self-adhesive PVC adjustment pads in two different sizes, 8 beech wood wedges for fixing the glass pane in place, together with BLANKE AQUA-FIX, a transparent, neutrally binding silicone. The installation kit is available with one or two BLANKE AQUA-FIX cartridges.

Would you like to know more about shower profiles?

Walk-in showers are the modern and age-appropriate alternative to shower trays and shower bases. We explain the differences between the individual shower profiles in more detail. You will also find out what is important when building a walk-in shower and how best to install the glass profiles.

Walk-in showers with shower profiles

Walk-in showers are the modern alternative to the shower tray. Today they form the cornerstone of modern bathroom design and at the same time impress with the practical advantage of being barrier-free. Walk-in showers are easiest to install using shower profiles. These showers can be individually adjusted to the size of the shower niche in the bathroom and are therefore very flexible. The open and barrier-free design ensures easy and comfortable entry into showering pleasure. The walk-in shower can be built as a free-standing construction with a glass partition or as a corner construction. There are no limits when it comes to designing your shower with gradient profiles for walk-in showers. In addition to the numerous practical aspects, barrier-free showers are also visually impressive. The open room design is very aesthetic and combines functionality with modern design. Simple versions with frameless partitions made of glass and glass profiles made of stainless steel are particularly in demand as ground-level installations. This restrained design variant fits perfectly into any bathroom and makes the bathroom appear larger.

How much space do I need for a walk-in shower?

When you think of walk-in showers, you often immediately think of particularly large showers. However, these shower areas can be individually sized. Regardless of whether you only have a small niche, corner or wall available, the open construction allows maximum flexibility through the placement of the shower profiles during tiling work. Large walk-in showers, recommended for shower areas with a shower area of 3 m² or more, do not require a glass partition, as the splash water is not distributed throughout the entire room during normal shower use. Smaller freestanding showers, for example placed in the middle of the bathroom, can be screened by glass partitions in the shower area to keep the water in the shower area. There are also glass profiles that make installing a glass partition particularly easy. These shower profiles are also ideal for walk-in showers in corner areas. A suitable solution can even be found for particularly narrow bathrooms. For example, you can use an unused niche as a shower with the help of a partition between the wet and dry areas. The open design of the shower allows maximum flexibility.

Walk-in shower as a walk-in shower solution

Walk-in showers are not only beautiful, the most important factor for many homeowners or renters is the accessibility of the bathroom. Even if it only affects you or your family in the distant future: A walk-in shower is a walk-in, floor-level shower and is therefore easily accessible to everyone. With a walk-in shower you have prepared for old age. Unlike shower trays or shower trays, there are no steps or elevations that make getting in difficult. Even people with disabilities can use the shower. It is advisable to include a seating area when designing the shower area, for example, so that you have considered everything to make the shower experience comfortable in the long term. A door does not necessarily have to be planned; the choice of entry side is flexible. An open shower area also contributes positively to the spatial experience. In contrast to the  Cabin solution means you never feel cramped during the shower process, even with space-saving variants. If you are looking for a high-quality shower solution, are completely renovating your bathing area or are planning it for a new building, the floor-level variant is definitely the right decision.

Cleaning a walk-in shower

The cleaning effort of a walk-in shower is low. You can easily remove water residue and limescale stains from the glass walls using the appropriate accessories such as a scraper. You can easily wipe the floor and walls with standard bathroom cleaners and a sponge or brush. For example, you can use stainless steel cleaner for the drainage lines or point drains that you have installed in the walk-in shower. If you want to clean the siphon in your shower, you can also use cleaning taps to remove dirt. Depending on the size of the tile, you have the advantage of having only a few joints with walk-in showers. Dirt sticks less easily to the smooth tile surface and can be easily removed.

Installation of shower profiles

If you are planning a renovation of your bathroom you can easily create the gradient in the shower with the shower profiles from Blanke Systems. The BLANKE AQUA-PROFILE is available in a wide variety of versions and designs with a slope or as a glass profile, which serves as a partition to accommodate a glass pane. Walk-in showers can be quickly created using the shower profiles. You can save yourself the effort of cutting the tiles because the shower profiles create a 2% gradient. The profiles are made of high-quality stainless steel and, depending on your design requirements, are also available as black, chrome-plated or white shower profiles.
The AQUA PROFILES are installed by the tiler when tiling the bathroom, so they are firmly anchored and even tested by the TÜV. The profiles are attached with tile adhesive, then the covering is placed on the profile on the wall or floor. This installation method has a decisive advantage compared to subsequently installed walk-in showers or shower enclosures. Fastening with tile adhesive prevents you from having to drill into the sensitive tile covering. Other partitions are usually attached using screws. In the worst case, the sealing that sits under the tiles can be damaged during installation. In the long term, this quickly leads to water damage, as up to 100 liters of water per person is used every day when showering. Not only is there a risk that the new tile covering will break when drilling, damage to the sealing can also cause deep damage to the masonry or mold.
Slope and shower profiles from Blanke Systems are the perfect alternative to shower trays or shower trays. The profiles form a ground-level shower with the tile, which impresses with its simple and modern look.

Walk-in shower with drainage channel

Visually, the walk-in shower or walk-in shower is certainly the most beautiful with a line drainage. Line drainage can be placed in the middle or at the edge of the shower and reliably drain the wet area of the shower.

The channels are available in numerous variants to enable installation in any shower niche you receive At Blanke, for example, there are gutters that you can cut to size and drainage units with different drainage directions. The look of the drainage channels can also be adjusted to suit your taste, stainless steel, black, white, chrome-plated or can also be tiled to match the floor covering. To put together your walk-in shower, you can use the BLANKE AQUA PROFILES combine with a drainage channel. Please take a closer look at the Blanke drainage channels.

Walk-in shower with point drain

Point drains are often found in walk-in showers that are supposed to be suitable for care. Point drains are available in different shapes and colors, even as a tileable version.

The point drains from Blanke Systems are all made of robust stainless steel and are available in brushed stainless steel or black powder-coated.  They reliably ensure the drainage of the shower in the middle of the wet area. The point drains from Blanke Systems can be found under the name BLANKE DISK CUBE or BLANKE DIBA CUBE, depending on which sealing variant is desired.
