BLANKE PERMAT reliably protects tiles and natural stone against cracking, and compensates for stresses in the substrate. As a reinforcement, the universal underlay can be used for industrial and domestic applications on all substrates, including new and old screed as well as wooden substrates.
The BLANKE PERMAT is suitable for ceramic coverings of any size and especially for large format tiles. Thanks to the glass fibre mesh and multilayer structure, the system boasts high adhesive bonding values as well as resistance to bending, tensile and compressive loads. As deformations from the substrate are not transferred to the covering, the decoupling mat allows floor coverings to be laid sooner. It also complements a variety of surface heating and cooling systems, as well as the BLANKE PERMATFLOOR screedless floor construction.

BLANKE PERMAT – Uncoupling mat and floor renovation system
BLANKE PERMAT reliably protects tiles and natural stone against cracking and compensates for stresses from the substrate. As a reinforcement layer and universal uncoupling mat, it is suitable for new and existing screeds as well as timber substrates. It is designed for ceramic tiles of all sizes and is particularly suitable for large-format tiles. Thanks to its multi-layer construction with integrated glass fibre mesh, BLANKE PERMAT offers high bond strength as well as excellent flexural, tensile and compressive strength. By preventing movement in the substrate from being transferred to the floor covering, it allows tiles and natural stone to be installed at an earlier stage. BLANKE PERMAT also complements a wide range of surface heating and cooling systems as well as the screedless floor construction system BLANKE PERMATFLOOR.
In combination with BLANKE FILLOCREED, BLANKE PERMAT forms a floor renovation system for non-ceramic floor coverings. Filling the uncoupling mat with the self-levelling compound creates a stable, uncoupled and level substrate without the need for time-consuming finishing work such as sanding. The system is ideally suited for renovating a wide variety of existing substrates, including cracked screeds, existing tiled floors and timber floorboards.
